Zenith 25" TV drop in place of Zenith/K7000 combo?
« on: January 18, 2009, 10:59:01 pm »
So i've been looking around craigslist and found a good deal of 25" Zenith TV's for super cheap (as little as $20).  Well the tube in my cabinet is a Zenith hooked to a 25k7131 (i think, I know its a k7000 series).  Well what are the chances I can drop in the zenith tv into the cabinet and it'll use the same bolt holes and everything?

just a thought, am i dumb for thinking this?

it could well be the same crt.....
and if it were a different number , odds are the pinout would be the same,  as would the mounting tabs.
not a whole lot of changes within a chassis family.

well really i'm just going to pull the k7000 out and the tube, drop this new one it and the board from the tv, and run the composite to a mame computer so i can rip the mk2 board out, i'd rather play other games than mk2  ;D

Why don't you just use the monitor that's already in it?

guess you missed that thread
recapped and replaced the flyback on the k7000 and still nothing
some neck glow but absolutely no glow on the tube, not even after playing with the screen voltage.  It's pitch black, so i'm done putting money into it.

Where are you?  Either there may be somewhere close to you that can help, or you can sell the unit. If you're close to me I'll take it.
