Please Help with JoyEmu!!
« on: June 14, 2003, 08:57:39 am »
FOR A QUICK SUMMARY SEE LAST LINE,
but you may need to read all to fully understand.

ok, let me start off and give you an idea of what im doing here.
for a school building/modification project i decided to build my own Console out of a 1.4ghz Computer i no longer use since i got my Laptop, i have Installed MAME.69 and Decided to go with GameLaunch as my Frontend, i need to COMPLETLY eliminate Keyboard and mouse my teacher said. so GameLauncher does that do far, but i also want to be able to use other Emulators with this, so i also have zSNES installed.

Problem is i cannot switch between Emulators unless i have a keyboard and press left alt or left ctrl, so i discovered JoyEmu after many long hours of searching, so i bound Left Ctrl to Button 2 on my Controller. now i added it to AUTOEXEC.BAT and it loads up fine. problem is its disables my Controller and i have to manually go into JOYCP.EXE everytime and enable to controller again for it to work.

is there a way i can get it to stop disabling the controller? or even a 3rd party patch for GameLaunch that allows me to customize what buttons switch Emus? all i need to do is be able to switch Emu's in Game Launch with out a keyboard and Mouse and im done. the case looks awesome and everything =) once i get graded i will even take some pics and stuff and post somewhere if anyones interested.

Sorry for the Long Post. if Anyone can help it would be GREAT!!

to sum it up incase you dont want to read it all.....

***How can i switch Emus in GameLaunch with out a Keyboard/Mouse, or how can i get JoyEmu to stop disabling my Controller on Startup of the computer??***

i would suggest switching joytokey
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA016823/joytokey/english.html

I have got a lot of emails (pff and i mewan a lot ;-) ) how to get my fe to work with joysticks and that one has allways worked...

sometimes there is a catch under win98 and you will have to disable it before runing mame and reloading it after...luckily gamelauncger can do that so if you get into that problem look here how to do it:
