Of course, these are nowhere near as slim as an LCD.

This is an interesting looking set, but does anyone have one and know for sure if it will work with a PC?
From the manual:
--- Quote ---(HDMI/DVI connection to a computer is not possible.
This TV cannot be used as a Monitor with your PC.)

A few years back my brother got a killer deal on a 30" CRT HDTV with a DVI input and we tried everything to get it to work with his PC as a monitor... even tried using PowerStrip and nothing would work. I could get an image up but it was really wonky and useless.
I'd love to go this route too and at $298 it's a killer deal IF it works with a PC. If not, I guess it's a nice set for your bedroom.

If you ever find one, let me know...
I'd pay up to 3k for a 32"-34" 4:3 LCD for my showcase cabinet.

Runs some decent resolutions as well
"all games run in mostly 640x480 .. GameEx uses 800x600 .. and pinball uses 102x768 to keep the scoreboard to playfield visual real estate ratio in check."

That doesn't appear to be the same set... it's a Samsung but looks like it's just a regular TV with component input and not the 4:3 HDTV listed in the other link.

Converting computer DVI to HDMI can be a hit and miss affair. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Your best bet for using this television is to buy a graphics card that has an HDMI port. It should work as I've hooked up computer to televisions numerous times where the television says it can't be used as a monitor. HDMI to HDMI is the way to go. Of course, I can't guarantee that there won't be problems.
I forgot to mention that the reason DVI to HDMI is so hit and miss is because there are different types of DVI ports. Here's a link that explains some of the differences.
