MY wtf home improvement rant

About two years  ago I started stockpiling home despot gift cards.  I knew I was going to start doing a ton of home improvements. If I'm there picking up something for 10 bucks, I'll also pick up a 15 gift card.  Not the most sound thing, but it's easier for me to open a drawer of gc's and say ok now it's time to tackle x, then it is to say I wish I had an extra 5 hundo to do this or that.

So yesterday we went looking for sheds.  I said i can't see spending 7-8 hundred for a generic shed when i can build one cheaper.  On the way home I tell the old lady to look on the net and pick a style.

Well this is what she came back with.  WTF!!!



A shed I can do, this is more like a summer home and definetly exceeds the gc's I have laying around.  Once again I hate how her dad and brother can build anything, and if I come up short I catch hell.  I still catch hell from him for having someone poor a concrete slab in my backyard last year.

Wish me luck on this one.

Regardless of your handyman skills, here was the real mistake. 
I think thats a poolhouse, its not even a shed. It will need a much bigger door.

it is a poolhouse.  I pointed that out to her and she said she just likes how the outside looks.  I figured I would need double doors and get rid of the skylight.  I'm trying to sketch out a diagram and figure out what this is going to cost me, and it's funny that I'm building a temple to house my  beat-up lawnmower and snowblower.
