Best places to shop online? There's too many choices out there... interested in books, consumer electronics, vid games... no used...currently I rely on Slickdeals to point me to sales & discounts and default to Amazon for everything else.
Now witness the power of this FULLY OPERATIONAL Mame machine!

I've bought many DVDs from deepdiscount.com (great prices and free shipping)

I used to buy a lot from deepdiscount.com although the past few years, everytime I check multiple movies that I want to buy between there and amazon, amazon's been cheaper almost every time.  Seems like they usually had better deals when they were still deepdiscountdvd.com (they took the dvd off their name a number of years ago)

gogamer.com is usually an excellent place for games, although their 48 hour madness sales are the real reason to shop there.  You can pick up some older gems for really cheap.

Monoprice.com and Partsexpress.com are awesome if you need cables.  Parts Express sells Belkin brand patch cables at unbelievably low prices.  Like $6 for a 50 ft. Cat 6 cable.

For consumer electronics, Abes of Maine seems like a great place.  Newegg.com is spectacular for mostly computer-related items.

And, of course, Amazon.com really is an excellent store in spite of their size.

I agree. I haven't ordered from them since the name change. I also order from Amazon now.

I will second the monoprice and newegg. Monoprice is perfect for cables. I got my brother a replacement cable for his sansa player after his dog chewed it up. It was like $6 compared to $25 from sansa or most other places I could find it.

And newegg is always good for computer stuff.

can't beat the direct-from-china sales @ dealextreme.com

free shipping kicks ass!

only complaint is that 2 of my 5 "over ten dollar purchases" haven't registered with the buyer reward/point system
They do have excellent customer support though, esp. in their forums.

oh, and real customers give reviews of products. This helps me decide 9 times out of 10 if I want something.
