DVD Player In Cabinet
« on: August 08, 2008, 09:48:22 am »
Do any of you use a dvd player (such as vlc or winamp/ wmp) for playing dvds. Id love to save a few of my good dvds as isos and play them on my cab but how do I play them and shut them down without it showing windows etc.

Im using latest mamewah.

GameEx has a feature for playing video. Very little else does without hassle, if at all.

Well i found a way if anyone needs it. I can post my mamewah ini files too if needed.
Ive used VLC as the player. I set it so open automatically in full screen and it works as a commandline player too. I put my dvds as isos as vlc can play these. I use dameon tools to mount the iso first, use vlc to play it fullscreen ,then use ctrl & x to exit it (these are mapped on my control panel as shift p1 a&b buttons) and then mamewah unmounts the iso ready for the next one if needed.
The only prob I have is when exiting it has a second of vlc player as a window (not fullscreen) but i can live with that.

Only prob is on my interactive dvds ive notcied that it doesnt come up the cursor on the dvd so u dont know what ur pointing at!!! Ive tried different players and they are all the same even tho if i guess where the cursor is i can move it up & down, left & right with joystick then use my select button (mapped as ENTER on ipac) to select.

Has anyone had this prob?
