Namco Classics Collection Vol.2

I was playing pacman arrangement, on Namco Classics Collection Vol.2 in MAME 125 and after completing level 3 the game reset back to the main menu? is this game time restricted or is this just a problem with this specific set ? Also I love it, but the game seems to not react well to joystick movements all the time, its selective, any way to fix that ? I know when loading the game it says video emulation not 100% just wondering if i could fix the other issues
