Possible NSFW pictures around the site, though the video itself is perfectly fine.  You've been warned.

I saw that in an episode of Mythbusters couple years ago. I think they were testing which light bulbs were the most energy efficient. I remember that the filament in that old, old bulb was REALLY thick...

I was afraid you were going to tell it burnt out when I saw the thread. That would be the final blow to our nation's morale...

I saw a special on that one time. Very neat.

I would suggest though that you find a youtube link instead. I didn't mind the nekkid chick in the top right corner, but other people with strict internet monitoring might.  ;)

I'm pretty sure only girls in bikini's come up unless you have the "Family Filter" turned off (it seems to be turned on by default), or at least those are the only pictures that came up for me with the filter on.

Hey, my Amplifone 25" is going to be running in 80 years (although I admit it won't be running 24h/day :)

Buy why vectors ? They're reliable (once you fix them properly)

Hmmm. I just clicked on the link again and now bikini girls and diamond ring ads pop up instead of nude adverts. Weird. I don't see anywhere on the page referring to a filter.

Toward the top of the page, just above the "Whats New" button.

Ahh, okay. It was set to off for me? I reset it to "on", then clicked the "top videos" button at the top of the page. Guess what the 1st vid thumbnail was of on the "top vids"? Hardcore porn! Methinks their filter is broken.

Anyways, here is the youtube link to the vid.

I'm not trying to insult the man, as he accomplished a lot of things, but it seemed weird his grandson was so fixated on such a minor improvement.

Not really. It depends on the family and what they tried to grill into this poor mans head. I used to handle a lot of people who were like this. That person (or their family) accomplished so little that they really have nothing else to show for it, so they get this weird fixation on their family history rather than going out and making a little history of their own.  :dunno

I think I would have spent more time talking about the Nobel prize than the light bulbs.  ;-D

I would have too. However, the majority of the population are probably more interested in the Academy Awards than the Nobel.  :dunno
