broken tv neck board

installed a decased philips 21" tv in a cab, the pcb was mounted under it,
i closed the thing up and heard a snap, looked in back and the neck board was broken in 2.

the only thing holding it together is the resistors, the crack isnt across any very small traces
would it be possable to jumper this board as ive saw arcade monitors done this way,
or is tv neck board more complex with multi layer pcb?

Neckboards are pretty simple.  Jumper away.

i just had a good lok at it, theres 12 tracks broken so there easy enough to do also its all pth stuff so no smt to worry about.

theres a big earth pad about 1 inch big will i do a few jumpers on that or will 1 surfice?

what can i use to dold the 2 parts together? can i use superglue or will that conduct

if there is enough room AND u have access to a #66 drill bit, drill a couple sets of holes to solder in a stabilizing jumper wire.
that should hold it together long enough to patch the rest..... then a few well placed drops of epoxy for good measure .

ok used thin grade wire for thin parts of broken pcb and used medium wire for the thick track parts,
after that i metered them out and used a bit superglue to hold board together and it worked, so far so good

got the power lead pluged it in and all i get is a white dot in middle of screen that gets brighter by the second so switched it off incase the dam things goes up in flames, any ideas what went wrong or what to do??

is it safe to plug a dvd player in to give it  a try ofr does white dot = fuxord?

Check the yoke and make sure it's still plugged in.

just did that and  it was unplugged  so plugged it and and it goes , now to finnish the rest of machine off

been doing it for 4 mth

good thing u had the sense to kill it ....
more than a few seconds and it would have burnt a hole in the phosphor  !
hopefully , there isn't a discolorization dead center of screen ...... ?

picture looks ok with dvd player plugged in so will see if any damage once its all up and running:)
