U360 Shift Function PROBLEM
« on: April 23, 2008, 10:23:52 pm »
I have my U360 updated to the latest firmware(2.4) which is supposed to have shift functionality.  I am having a weird problem.

Button #8(Violet Wire) on the U360 button harness is supposed to trigger shift mode when held down.

In Windows while doing a button test, the button I have hooked up to the #8 Violet wire shows up as it should as button #8.

When I am in Mame trying to configure buttons, that same button is showing up as Button #7. Therefore I obviously cannot use the shift function.

Anyone have any idea what would cause this???????

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Test the other wires by touching them to the ground wire and see which one shows up as button 8. It could just be a wiring error on the manufacturer's part.

In Windows bottons are numbered 1-8, in MAME 0-7.

Good call.

Thanks.
