Where does one go to get replacement parts for System 246? you got a link? I need to know these things cause I hear the cd drives go out frequently.

Well, these CAN look very good.  I built one a while back and the S-Video output was darn near indistinguishable from the RGB output from the game I had it hooked up to.  Composite didn't look so hot, though.

I can't tell what chips they're using in that picture.  The Analog Devices AD724/AD725 seem to do a very good job, but since I can't tell what they're using (and it doesn't look like what I used), I can't really comment on that board specifically.

I could run some of my design if people want.  Minimum to make it feasible for me though is about 10-20.

I have heard mixed reports about these, was looking at the vga board myself but am struggling to find a distributor in the uk (although they are here I have been  told!) some people have reported bad quality pcb's whilst other's have said they are great. I know that doesn't help you much but for what it's worth! ;)

Regards.

I think JROK does one of these that also handles component.

For an upcoming project really & also to see how good they are. Already discussed with Pentranic about getting a CGA monitor (Which I need to be quick about while they have tubes for the size I want!!!) which will leave me with a spare VGA/SVGA which I could use for something but needs a converter obviously for the 15dsub.

I think JROK does one of these that also handles component.
You are right but I am not sure of pricing, page is here:http://jrok.com/hardware/RGB.html
