6 more days until the Super Bowl.  And then 6 months until football season returns.  How depressing.

Someone on reddit posted a lengthy description of everything that happens leading up to the snap in the NFL.
One of the things was "In the huddle, he tells us if Omaha means anything or not".  (paraphrased)

There is a women at my wife's work that is supposedly a big Broncos fan.  Wears the jersey and talks it up all the time.  My wife tried joking with her about "Omaha!" last week and the women looked at her like a deer in the headlights.  Poser.

Possibly.  More than likely she jumped on the bandwagon when Kyle Orton was there.  He is from this area.

Full Disclosure:  We have followed the Orton bandwagon as well.  Right up until it rolled into Dallas and we got off.

I approach each Super Bowl with mixed emotions. OMAHA! Love watching the game (in peace and quiet without idiots complaining when I want to talk about the game during a commercial) but get very depressed when I realize the season is over and have to wade through all the NBA playoffs (OMAHA!) and half the MLB season before it starts up again.

And I do plan on yelling OMAHA at least a dozen times at a fantasy draft next August if, for no other reason that to really irritate the rest of the league.

Jordan's Furniture (high end chain here in MA) does that every year with the Red Sox.  They had to pay out in 2007 and 2013.
