Need some help with book series title
« on: March 17, 2008, 05:02:38 pm »
I read these books in middle school, so it would be around 1994 or so. There were 12 books in the series, and I could have swore the series was called "Nightowl club".
Each book was self-contained, but every once in a while, the "night owl club" would be part of the story line.
The 4th book was about a guy who was a bookie in college. He is taken hostage by a few "undead" classmates.
There is a book in the series about a rock star vampire.
The last book in the series had a girl in a red bikini on the cover, and I thought it was called spring break. In it, a group of 5 college kids stay at a beach hotel, but the hotel is haunted or something.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be greatful.

I love a good challenge  :D - EDIT: FOUND IT! Check out the annotation here at Biblio:

Previous message:

I'm not sure that I found it, but I was studying children's Lit about the same time in my second run through college ('nuff said about MY age).  I did find this link to the "Nightmare Club" at Amazon.  The dates would seem about right for the series of books you mentioned.  Thought you might want to check it out.  Sadly, there's no reveiw for book 4, otherwise I could have told you for sure.

This link edited to point the full list of titles in the series:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b/002-0578647-3460048?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=nightmare+club

Final edit:  If you are right about the final book being "Spring Break", I believe I may have found it as there is a book in this series by this title!

Impressive.

Most impressive.

The series sounds like it might be fun to read after i get through the Horus Heresy collection.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.
