Whats wrong with my monitor. I have the green adjusted as far as it will go and there is still too much green. How can I fix this?

There's probably a problem with your picture tube.  Have you tried rejuvenating?

You'd need a piece of repair equipment called a rejuvenator.  It basically hooks up to the neck of the picture tube and burns away deposits left on the electron guns.  It's probably more economical to have someone else, such as a TV repair shop, to do it than to buy one just for one monitor as they can be pretty expensive.  Just keep in mind that rejuvenation sometimes doesn't last very long if the tube is too weak.

I was wondering if this would help. Once in a while the screen goes very white but it will come back after a while or if i unplug it for a couple of minuites. Does that tell you anything?

Yeh it sounds like your picture tube may have an internal problem. Rejuvenators are also known as 'restorer/analyzers' because they also test the tube. Many times internal shorts or leakage between elements can be repaired with one.

there is another possibility, the u5000 was a problamatic chassis that basically killed off wells gardner monitors in u.k cabs
the neck card suffered heat related problems i.e dry solder joints, broken tracks and from time to time drive transistors could go leaky
the tube faults on these monitors were very common,i am just adding another angle before someone goes off on one ;D
