Laptop -> LCD TV
« on: January 02, 2008, 07:29:22 pm »
I think this may have been answered before - not sure ...

I want to connect my VGA output from my laptop to my 32" LCD TV.

The TV has Scart, HDMI and S-video.

Can this be done guys?

Ratzz

im fairly sure that,
if theres no tv out on the laptop then you need a scan converter .isnt vga the wrong frequency to plug into a tv.
i got one for £40 quid from maplins that i use to send my pc to a big tv,( yknow, for porn  :laugh2:), it works , cant really comment on the quality cos my tv is shite.

tv thing

make sure its the right thing i dont wanna blow up your tv, but it is what i use for pc to tv.
bear in mind scan converters can go up to thousands so dont expect awesome results, ok for 'feminist documentaries' though, they are always on blurry video anyway ;) :laugh2:

did you see my post in main, tescos are stopping selling smartstips, look out for bargains.

Also, just found out that there is s-video on the TV, and I have confirmed that my card is TV out compliant.

Anyone gone down the s-video route?

My LCD TV actually has an input designed for use with a computer.  Nice little feature of it.
Donkey Kong High Scores:
1): 49,500
2): 35,600
3): 30,100
4): 29,400
5): 28,200
