Are there any safe sites to buy PSone Mod Chips?
« on: January 24, 2008, 09:24:19 pm »
I'm wanting to buy a PSone Mod Chip but I don't know any safe sites to buy one from. If you have any leads please let me know.

I want to build a mini table top arcade cab powered by a PSone there are allot of cool Atari and Namco classics that can even be played Vertical by rotating the screen 90o.

Hmmm that is difficult, as I'm confused by your question.

You want a mod chip for a PS1 to play Atari Legends (probably Tempest with a mouse hack) and a vertical screen, but why would you want a mod chip in the first place?

I was in my local goodwill store and they had a ps1 there for $15 and the games you indicated are $1 or 2 on ebay or your local games store.

So your question is moot.

The answer is: BUY THE GAME

See no reason for the mod chip eh?
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

I under stand your reasoning from your perspective and I do own the game already. I want to make a dedicated mini cab and leave the disk in the mini cab all the time and I only have one copy I guess I should just keep looking for another real copy of atari classics. A better reason for looking for a mod chip is that when I visit my mom who lives 250 miles away it would be nice to make copies of all the games which I legally own so I won't have to pack them with me for the road trip and just buy an old PSone system to leave at my mom's house. I agree with you that getting a mod chip because one is too cheep to buy the real games is not a good reason.
