Need for Speed MW
« on: January 16, 2008, 06:16:30 pm »
I just picked up Need for Speed Most Wanted for the GC and I must say it is one of the best, if not the best NFS to have.

If you're looking for a good car racing game with real life cars and all the upgradeable parts and racing action this is the NFS for you.

I had a hard time finding this NFS version and I think it being good might have something to do with that, no one really traded it in.

I've been enjoying Burnout 2: High Impact...it's similarly rated.

I don't think I'd have any more fun on a PS3 or 360 and one of the newer racing games.

I beat Burnout 2 and it is good too, but NFS MW is better. Check it out if you can.

I got Need for Speed ProStreet for the Wii. I didn't like that one at all. It's all too messy and the events are way too short and too annoying.

Hopefully I can find Need for Speed Most Wanted somewhere since I don't really have a good driving game for the Wii yet. Well I like Excite truck, but that's not really racing.

NFS MW is not for the Wii, it's only for the gamecube, pat. Unless that's what you meant, a Wii GC game.

Yes, I meant to play the GC game on the Wii. Should work (if I buy a GC controller for my Wii). So far I haven't found a nice Wii race game, so if a GC is nice then I better try that.

I'm starting to wonder if the Wii controller is actually capable of a good racing game.

The Wii is capable of a good racing game, as you can see by Excite truck. ET may not be a true racing game but you can get the general idea that it can control as good if only someone would take those controls and add it to another named game, with more substance.

As good as I found ET I'd rather play NFS MW on the cube, not because I don't think the Wii cannot make a good racing game but so far they really have not, and this game rocks.

I'm almost at the end of this game and I must still say it is almost perfect. What a great racing game to be playing.

It may take some time to get the presentation and to know exactly what you need to be doing at what times but it is a masterpiece, not many games like this one.

Best GC driver I've ever played.

Heh . . . Burnout Paradise was just released for the PS3 and 360.  From the looks of it, it can get much much better than Burnout 2.  Actually, Burnout: Revenge was also an absolute blast -- probably better than Burnout 2 all things considered.  I know it was available for the Xbox, so I assume it was available for Gamecube as well.  You might want to check that out when you finish with Burnout 2.
