ID tag says WG19K7201, but WTH.......
« on: December 30, 2007, 01:15:49 pm »
I have owned this monitor since new, so no chance there has been any board swapping.  Also,  I obviously replaced the flyback with a WG7000  part a few years back and it still works with no problem.  Now to the question:  the chassis tag says WG19K7201 and for the most part it is similar to 7000s I have worked on in the past.  But partway through a cap kit I woke up and saw the differences.  First clue was C50 in what I know for sure is a WG7000 cap kit is 1000uf@ 50V.  The glued-down original on the board is 680uf@ 35V.  In addition, there are no location numbers C10, 56, 57, and a couple of others on the board.  However, at least half of the cap values and location numbers in the kit are correct.  The solder side of the board has no markings whatsoever except for part number P757-002.  So wth am I working on here?  Is there a cap kit for it, and if not, does anyone know which ones should be replaced?  pics attached   Thanks as always.

Gotta love the K7000 "series" of monitors. Many similarities, but subtle differences as well.
Yours falls under the K7200 category.
Not sure if someone has an honest 7200 cap kit. But when looking for parts, try to find the stuff listed for the 7200's first..... then possibly look towards the stuff listed for the 7000's.

I don't think I'll ever try to figure out the differences amongst all of the variations myself.
Someone else may have a better explanation.

But for a parts list for that P757 main chassis look here:

Which neckboard do you have?  (Pxxx ?)

Thanks, Kevin.  The neckboard is P759.

Remember there are TWO versions of the 7200 series: k7200 and k7200A

Wells-Gardner sells capkits for these. Just call their parts department and order these:

# S-KIT CAP K72      Capkit for k7200

# S-KIT CAP 72A      Capkit for k7200 rev A
