Trauma Center for NDS
« on: December 09, 2007, 01:10:24 pm »
Anyone else played this? Any of you beat it.

I enjoyed the game thru the first few acts. It was fun, the story line was kind of neat, if you were really good you could beat the board on the first try.

I happen to be pretty damn good/quick, and I STILL have to get lucky after many tries on some later levels. Damn I feel sorry for any little kid that gets this game - the difficulty level is set...and it is high. The wife has made it alot farther than me thru sheer bull headed frustration (and more spare time though she'll deny it). I personally vowed never to play it again after I failed the thorn level for the millionth time.

She is to a point where you have to kill a spider thing and she can't beat it. She asked me to beat it for her. I can get to the end of it, but the game screws me every ---smurfing--- time. By screwed I mean out of nowhere it sucks over 30 life like that - and its not even an attack near as severe as what I had just went thru (30 or so cuts on the screen, with the spider throwing 5 more out every couple seconds. Considering it only lets you charge up to 50 max at that point, you can see how screwy that is. Its like the computer doing a one hit knockout in streetfighter - it just doesn't happen.

Anyways, what is everyone elses thoughts?

Agreed...  The difficulty ramps up way to quickly to a point where you have to be super-human or be one lucky SOB.  I gave up on that game for sure!  Games are supposed to be fun, not piss you off to no end.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Looked up some strategy for beating the retarded needle level, and also what I was missing on the spider level.

What I was missing on the spider level kind of pisses me off, as you may know if you've been there. How in the ---fudgesicle--- was I supposed to know I could do a healing touch while the healing touch was already going on?!?

Now, watch the videos of this dude playing the game:
http://www.geocities.jp/bugloderunner/junk/kadoke_e.html

I would have been impressed with him beating the spider thing, except for the fact that I had a better strategy than him and actually think I played that level as good or better...except I didn't know about said strategy above.

I'm tempted to pick this one up for the Wii for the wife... she is showing a real interest in gaming for the first time and she loves shows that are about surgeries in progress.

Unfortunately the new game for the Wii doesn't really solve any of these problems.  It's a ton of fun for the first few surgeries, and then the difficulty ramps up to absurd levels and it loses all its fun.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

I'm talking about the Wii game.   Are there even DS games that are $50?  I tend to see $39 as the most expensive....
