Kudos to my local Walmart

I usually do not have much good to say about Walmart...but their recent actions deserve praise.

My niece works with an organization that helps foster families and children. She was given the task of putting together the Christmas party.
Long story short, Walmart really delivered with the donations...a new bike for every kid (over 60 of them), $1,000 to help cover expenses of the party, 5 $50.00 gift cards that were raffled off to the families, and 20 volunteers to help with the party.

The party was a smashing success.

Thank you Walmart and all other contributors.

By the way, Walmart has also pledged to do even more for the "back-to school" party and next years Christmas party.

I'm a vendor at a couple of local Walmarts and they have both gone back to saying and displaying "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays" at their stores. I talked to one of the store managers the other day and she said it is the stores decision to make. So kudos for that too...
