Donkey Kong Jr Paint Color Codes?
« on: November 28, 2007, 12:56:19 pm »
Starting the restoration of the DK Jr Cab.  Tried posting this in the artwork forum, but got no response.

Anyone know the color codes for the orange?
My projects...

Finished:  Stargate (only 'cause I got it that way)
In progress:  Tron, 48-in-1 for School Auction, DKJr (currently a 60-in-1), Millipede, MAME System

Honestly.... it all depends on where you get it, type, brand, etc.

I always try to take an inconpicuous chip from somewhere and take it to the paint store.
(or a chip you can easily repair)
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

I only say this because of all the times I've seen someone post the paint codes that they used.... but then turn around and hear "well this or that didn't quite match because of yada yada" or whatever.
And paint codes are generally only good if you get the same exact type and brand of paint that they used.

And be sure to go to a reputable PAINT Store.
One with a good color matching/scanning machine gizmo.
Home Depots and Lowes are OK, but not neccisarily as accurate in some opinions.

Also try to use a chip that is from a clean, non-faded area if at all possible.
