Nice design so far. The screen size looks a little large since your opting to have an integrated control panel. Your face will be very close and you'll have a tendency to pan as your playing your games. It could be the drawing that is misleading, but it's something to consider.
Yes, I already looked into that. The reason I decided to have the screen practically straight up, is so onlookers could easily see the screen during a MAME party. If the monitor is sunken in, then only a few people standing right behind the players will get to see the screen. And your right, when I did a test of how close it would be, I did end up kind of panning on the screen. I probably will sink the monitor a bit or come up with something else.
Stop that skeleton from humping Q-bert!
Nice model, efjayel. I wish I had some talent with 3D modeling. I like the shelves underneath. Those will be used to store your various CPs right?
Rofl.
You know, architectural wise, any other controls would fit in those shelves. My current CP is supposed to have a hinge so it can be opened. But now that you changing controls, I suppose I could. Or at least it game me the idea that it doesn't have to be on hinges. Perhaps I can make it so it pulls out.
But originally I added the shelves for game consoles. Of course I would have to buy the adapters. I'll probably do that but the only system I'm curently looking into is the Dreamcast. Until they make Street Fighter 3 and MvsC2 work on mame, that will be my only other choice to get to play them.
As for the cab being big, perhaps it is a little big. But trust me I tried to make it as small as possible with all the options. It was originally smaller but it wouldn't have worked adding the parts so I HAD TO make it a little bigger. My concern is that I won't be able to get it into my room once its complete since there a is a hall leading to my room then a miniature hall after that.

I really don't think I want it in my living room.
