First off, here's a fair review of it from someone other than myself:
http://ds.ign.com/articles/819/819153p1.htmlI agree with the points they make, but I think they sort of bypassed one element.
This definitely isn't a hardcore game, no way....but where I feel it succeeds is in letting the user create their own hero. For instance, the hero I created when I was a kid is now running, jumping, etc. through the worlds of the game. Because I drew it,knowing what he's supposed to look like, he looks damn great. And that part is FUN for me (kid at heart sorry)....because this time it ain't Mario, or Luigi, or Link....it's MY creation saving the day.
I think a 7.9 is more than fair, (possibly a little high until you realize the DS is the only unit out right now that could handle this game) but obviously the emphasis was placed on making sure the player drawn character's moves were as good as possible. I wouldn't say every aspect of that is perfect, but they sure gave it their all.
....and because I'm selfish and would love to see Drawn to Life 2, with better graphics and more intense gameplay, I'm giving it a little "push" here....or trying to!
