VGA ARCADE MONITOR TO PC
« on: November 14, 2007, 01:16:19 pm »
Got a question for all those in the KNOW.......I hooked up my med resolution monitor to my old pc and finally got the windows desktop on the monitor screen, it is a 27 inch screen but the screen is divided into 3 sections with the same desktop image on all three and is of course blurred and i have the scanlines, but I can see and even make out the desktop icons and am able to use my mouse....I have played around with POWERSTIP but I am a NEWBE at this MAME stuff and have no clue when it comes to setting up the arcade monitor as far as settings, can anyone help me get just one image on the screen and give me some settings that i need to set the display to in control panel settings or settings for powerstip????? Thanks much.......

I haven't played with Powerstrip .... but basically you need to LOWER the resolution to match the monitor you are connected to. Right now you are putting out a VGA signal which is 31khz, your medium resoloution monitor accepts 25khz. So play around with lower resolutions and watch the changes.
