Make your vote count!  It's a chance for some obnoxious tiger-striped-muscle-pant-wearing a-hole to actually *be* part of the winning team!

I vote Nascar, mainly because I live in WV and there are some super hardcore fans around here. You Yankees probably have next to zero experience with a true to form Dale Jr fan. ;)

It is so bad that many of the fans still whole heartedly support their favorite driver...who hasn't even raced for years!

I don't know if you can name an entire sport that has the most obnoxious fans, I think it's more on a team level.  The most obnoxious fans I have ever seen are Philadelphia Eagles and Toronto Maple Leaf fans.

The home Eagles game I went to had by far the largest number of poorly behaved drunken fans I've ever seen.

Eagles are by far the worst fans in the world. They take the word "obnoxious" and stretch it to a new dimension. As far as non athletic sport centered around rednecks..I dunno..they just sit there and watch the cars go in a circle till they pass out. If I had to vote for violence I'd go with every soccor fan in the world.

I might submit Wrestling, except that I suppose you might classify that as stage performance rather than sport, I suppose.

Pro wrestling is a sport....the ww's are more of a performance but those guys still take more of a beating than nascar drivers so I don't see why it's not a sport.

Pro wrestling isn't a sport because it's not a literal competition.  It's a performance art.

The Eagles game I went to wasn't even safe to be in the stands... there were drunk ---meecrobs--- in the upper decks throwing change onto the people below them.  A couple of people in my section got cut from it.  There were also 3 fights in our section in the third quarter.

Dunn says the fans are "rude as hell," and calls Philly "one of the most hostile environments... a player can play in." Indeed, when the Eagles beat the Vikings a week before the Falcons, Vikings QB Daunte Culpepper complained that the locals spit and threw things at him. Last year, Carolina Panthers fans were scared to come watch their team beat the Eagles for the NFC Championship. And on draft day in 1999, Eagles fans booed Donovan McNabb... for having the nerve to be drafted by their team. Not to mention the booed and threw things at santa thinking he's bad luck.

Yeah . . . I agree with Chad.  Other people who take more of a beating than NASCAR drivers include many construction workers like jackhammer operators, people who deliver those 5-gal. jugs of water, anybody who works on an assembly line, farmers, ranchers, gardeners, carpet installers, dancers, circus performers, etc. :)

On the other hand, ping pong, darts, bowling and golf are all sports.  I think your definition of sport needs work.     In your defense, though, I will concede that none of the people in my list up there pretend to be engaged in a sport, so you at least have that.
