I'm about to frame the first wall along the inside of the foundation. This is one I'll probably frame, have an electrician come in and set up with two circuits, and then leave open for the forseeable future. I mostly want the two quality grounded circuits but I figure rather than have them attach them to the foundation, I'll frame the wall, since eventually I'll finish it.
Here is the question. This wall is parallel to the joists so I'll have to put in some perpendicular 2x4 pieces between the outermost joist and the sill plate so the top plate has something to attach on. There is fiberglass insulation between the joists. Should I remove the insulation or just push it up some so there is room for the perpendicular blocking?
This is a good pic of the scenario, only my joists are 2x8s.
