Gamelists for download?
« on: August 20, 2007, 12:29:40 pm »
I have been searching for gamelists that people have created but can't find anything.
I am using Mala and have everything set up pretty good.  I would like to start working on some gamelists to filter the 6000+ games.  Rather then reinventing the wheel I thought there would be some place where people have uploaded their premade gamelists for people to download.  I can't find anything and was wondering if anything existed?  Just thought I would ask before I started to go through the list from scratch.
Thanks!

Use romlister.  You can have 20 or 30 lists made up in 5-10 minutes.

If you really want some I could send you some of mine, but the lists work best off your own version of mame and rom list.

Just to echo the other two posts - use romlister. Its very very very easy to create lists for mala.

Thanks for the info about ROMLISTER!  I glanced at it real quick today and it looks very nice.
I also played with the MALA Gamelist program that is included.  After looking at it more closely I realized that the MALA gamelist creator can filter games pretty nicely too (ie trackball games and such).

Sorry, I should have searched more on the forums.  I probably would have found out about ROMLISTER if I searched better.  Having a newborn in the house has really limited my time lately so I don't get a lot of time to spend on the internet.

We can delete this post if you guys want since I feel like a moron for not searching better!!

I would be curious though to get other peoples "Favorites" gamelists.  It would be fun to pull those into mala and see what others have as their favorites.

If it helps, I usually search maws and sort by rankings to get an idea of the games people like.  It's not perfect but it has pointed me towards some great games I never would have tried otherwise.
