Where can I look at a collection of fan art or arcade art at?

Hello this is my first post.  Right now I'm trying to plan an awesome side art for my MAME but I'm having problems in locating side.  What I what to do is to take multiple amount of characters and basically slap them together with a theme.  But when ever I search the internet all I get is a bunch of pictures that are unusable for what I want to do.  Can someone please help me in letting me know a couple of good websites that has a list of arcade characters that I can just point and click to know who they are and what game they are from.  Pictures would be nice too but if not that is okay too.

  Thanks for the great start.  Do you know of more good websites to go to.  I'm mostly looking for fighters on my list.  So do you know if there is a website that I can look up for a list of arcade fighting games.
