8Liners 25" Chassis schematic
« on: July 05, 2007, 11:23:57 pm »

Anyone have this schematic?   Or rather, does anyone know how I can reduce the horizontal width?  The pot on the controller is already at min... and there isnt a horiz width coil on this guy.

Thanks,
Steve

yup... i'm speaking with Victor.  He's a little hesitant I think to give out the schematic.  I've asked many times for it and he generally replies but without it.

looking at that bad fax... i can make out the horizontal width cap... but the numbers arent really clear.  I can see a resistor off the wiper leg that can be reduced perhaps.  Also, I may consider adding another 1ohm resistor in series with the yoke, but I dont see how that will reduce the width of the scan...

I added another 1 ohm... and it seemed to reduce the horiz a little.  I think ill try a 100ohm 10W and see if that makes a significant difference.

nobody has any input on this?

Think i can add a 100ohm resistor to the horizontal yoke connector?

Changing the width range can be done by changing the width capacitor value (to a degree). It's all described at Bob Roberts site.
