What is this talk of the original topic???   :blah:

How do you expect us to thread-jack this topic if you keep brining up the "original" topic???

Yea! Back to the hijacked portion of this thread...

I quit drinking pop (or soda for you southerners) on the 1st of the year. I have had about 2 sips since then (to see if the wife's is real coke or diet). I only drink water and milk now. I used to drink up to 7 cans of pop a day (when I was drinking Mt Dew). I have lost about 10 pounds only but that is because I am a fat ass and like to eat still. I do feel a little better though and I go to sleep and wake up better than I used to.

smart outfits will liase with each other so that everyone has the same deposit scheme. then it doesnt matter where you go. and they shouldnt get in trouble for price fixing because, after all they give you the money back...

Erm, not really, since the retail store doesn't lose anything if the keg goes awol.  That's free market right there... if 3 stores try to cooperate, the 4th will halve the deposit.  There is no incentive for retail stores to cooperate in this way and every incentive to price each other out.
