Monitor glass trim ?

Well, it's taken me almost 2 years but I am almost finished with my entire cabinet.  I'm just doing little odds and ends now.  Maybe you guys can give me an idea for something to trim out the piece of glass that I have for my TV/Monitor.  Basically I had a piece of glass cut for my monitor bezel.  Problem is since my cabinet is not completely perfect you can see gaps around the edge of the glass where it is not flush with the cabinet sides. 

At first I was just going to get some molding and trim out the glass by attaching the wood molding to the cabinet.  That seems like it would be a pain if I ever needed to take the glass out to get the TV out.  Are there any other options to finish off the edges of the glass?

It's a typical Project Arcade cabinet that I'm sure eveybody is bored of seeing. 

I'm not sure how well you can see the edges of the monitor glass in these pics though.

I have the same situation, however I also have some recessed screw holes to cover as well since my lexan will screw into a backing behind the bezel.

I was planning on using some black adhesive backed tape that is used on melamine shelving to hide the edges.  I ahve seen it at home depot.

This is probably useless to you now that the cabinet is built, but for all my cabinets I get some 4mm 1/4-circle strips from my local timber place.  I use that on all the edges and then insert the glass from behind.  The resulting effect is quite nice, and means no gaps between the glass and the walls of my cabinet.

Use a piece of posterboard, a razor and a straightedge to cut out the EXACT shape you want the glass to be and then take it ot the local glass shop - they should be able to make an exact copy for less than $25.

if you need longer cover strips there is edging that is made for plexiglass door/window installs

for my marquee i used to peice's of 1/8" thick X 26-1/4 actual size side from side is 26-1/2" X 9" tall well the top and bottom retianer that was stock overlapped the marquee around a 1/4" and that left the side's bare and from my bright light it would leek through the sides so I went to wall mart and grabbed a package of slide grip report cover for $1.79 they are lke the hoe made book with the slide on binder that was used in school but these are a little more heavy duty plastic and come in a pack of 6 with various colors and these slide right on the ends and allow up to 1/4" thickness between it and they stick out 1/4" from the end so I ended up with a really really seucre marquee that is sealed all the way around with a 1/4" over bezel I guess lol it worked and looked great though.
