resolution question w/ arcade vga
« on: June 08, 2007, 12:27:10 am »
i couldnt get the mame resolution tool to work, so i've been testing games and making them fit my betson 27"

how come in a game like teenage mutant ninja turtles, the set resolution is 304x224, but if i set it to 640x480 it looks way better and fits the screen.. is there a way to make mame set games like that to higher res so they look better?

i get way too many scan lines at 304x224 and it makes the game look bad, def not how it looked in the arcade.

I think you haven't been reading and paying attention. Most games have to be sized to a screen. That means use the OSD controls. Also, you'll notice vertical games run on a horiztonal monitor will need tweaking, generally, but switch the game orientation and it will need less or none.
