can the mounting bracket be taken off the betson 27"

from what i've been reading the betson 27" is 24.5" wide with the bracket, but the actual monitor is just under 23.5"

24.5 is too wide and will not fit in my cab, but 23.5 will fit in my cab.. so i'm wondering if i can take the mounting bracket off and somehow secure it into the cab another way.

How wide is your cab? If the difference is small, you could always get an angle grinder and grind a bit of the edge off the mounting bracket.

the space inside the cab wall to wall is 24"

Hell yeah you could grind off a tad more than a half an inch.
