Lazarus Skinner Error. I'm grateful for any help.
« on: May 07, 2003, 11:54:51 am »
While trying to use the "advanced" options in the Lazarus Skinner 2.5, I continually get a run-time error '339' "component tabctl32.ocx or one of it's dependencies is not registered correctly: a file is missing or invalid."

Has anyone else encountered this problem. Everything else works just fine I just can't access the advance tab.

I'm running Windows XP if that has any relevance.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or solutions.

The tabctl32.ocx is not registered correctly on your system. Do a Start->Search->Files or folders, and look for tabctl32.ocx. Once you've found it, double click on it. Then a dialog should appear asking you what program to open it with. Click "other" and go to your c:\windows\system32 directory, find the file regsvr32.exe, and click on it. Click "ok", and a message box should appear saying that the control was successfully registered.
Re-rerun laz Skinner and check it out.

If it's not there let me know and I'll send it to you.  Should be with the vb runtime files though.

i could not find the file on my computer.   :'(

It would be great if you could send me the file. I'd like to see how else I can play with my Skins. If i get things worked out the way I want I'll post links to them so other folks can check them out and maybe use them for their own projects.

Thanks.
