So I guess this is somewhat of a first public announcement: I've been working on an updated coin-operated game now for several years in my own personal time. I'm looking for other people who have the same passion for games like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Robotron, Asteroids, Defender, Millipede, and Super Sprint as I do who might be interested to help me play test and give me feedback for the game.
I've taken a nearly year long break from the project, and I'm ready to come back and work on trying to finish off the game and get it to market as soon as possible. I hope to show something at the ASI show in 2008.
This is not a MAME or emulated game, but an original game with all original source code and artwork. However it is inspired by all the games that make this forum great. And all the games that I hold near and dear to my heart.
If you do want to play test this game, please just send me your information to ahigh@yahoo.com and answer the following set of questions for me:
1) Have you tested a game before
2) What are your top ten most favorite games to play under MAME
3) What are your scores on those games
4) Do you have a cabinet that you can test the game with?
5) If you have a cabinet to test on, what does the control panel look like?
6) What control interface do you use (Groovy Game Gear, Ipac, etc)
7) What kind of monitor and gfx card do you have (LCD? CRT? Max and minimum res, etc)
8 ) What times are you available to communicate with Aaron regarding your testing (please use Pacific Standard Time Zone)
9) How many hours per week are you willing to work and what weeks are you available?
10) Do you like playing games

(kk that's assumed .. but I wanted 10 questions!)
Please put "Arcade Tester" as the subject when you e-mail your answers
I will respond as quickly as possible and answer any questions you have for me either here on e-mail as I receive them. I may not be checking back here, however, so feel free to ask questions here and also e-mail me to make sure I respond in a timely manner.
I plan to fill slots for two testers. The total length of the testing time will be 4-6 weeks long and 10 hours a week or so. I will begin testing on July 2nd 2007.
