Not exactly an Admin button, but another button, none-the-less.

Can I connect the PC Power button to a normal Arcade Button (microswitch) to boot the PC up? (I want to locate it on the back of the cab, but easy to locate and turn on).
I was told PC Power button is a momentary switch, is that the same thing as the common cab button?

Yes.  I wired the power button from my computer to a mini button hidden underneath one of the control panels on my cocktail cabinet.  I plan on doing something similar on my current cab but I haven't worked out the details yet.

I just ran across a similar post in another topic that said that the momentary button has 2 clicks.  Can I substitue a microswitch for a momentary button?

i don't have any administrative buttons, only the buttons you find on the regular arcades. As for mouse buttons i placed them on the left of the pinball buttons. Do not have too many buttons.

There seems to be 2 camps:
Authentic Arcades (or held close to that thought):  none / minimal / hidden Admin buttons
Dedicated MAME: Admin buttons allowed on CP

good taste is always appreciated

The more buttons you add to your cp, the more confused your guest will be.  Luckily I figured this out on my "test build" cp.
I, on the other hand, have found the opposite. I find that people get confused if you don't have dedicated controls for some of the more common functions, as long as they are labeled. It seems like strange shift combinations and such just confuse people.
