Welcome aboard Jake.  A lot of the discussion here is about the hardware that makes playing arcade games worthwhile.  We may be able to help you out with some of the MAME questions but to get the best answers head over to the forums on mameworld.org.  Otherwise read and learn from all the interesting project builds and other thread around the boards here.  Also take some time and peruse the Wiki where most of the information is migrating to.

TTFN

You mean you don't want to hear about his salt & pepper shaker collection? ;D

Welcome, Jake.  We definitely talk about all things.

Well arcade wise I have been collecting for about 2 years now. I am like others that buy for personal collections as well as sale some when I can, kindof like supporting my own habbit not to piss off the wife to much....LOL  I really enjoy the older games from around 86 to older. I have been working on a MAME in a perfect frogger cabinet for a while and about to stop that. It takes up way to much time, and I enjoy the MAME on my laptop better. If I play arcades I'd rather play the old original ones not a stand up MAME....Anyways I love the mini arcades a lot, just a bit more then the cocktail table ones. Of course the upright ones are just great as always. I think thats about it.    Jake
