Zinc, Model 2 dummy

Hi all its the noob again,

Can someone please explain what both Model 2 and zinc are?  I'm seein both a lot and i would like to know if that is set up with Mame or is it something entierley different

Like Mame, Zinc and M2 are emulators.  Many people run other emulators side by side with Mame using a front end like Mala, AtomicFE, GameEx, etc...

zinc emulates a specific type of arcade hardware and does it faster then mame does. People use it to run the games it emulates better them mame.
