Ah, it makes me want to put the TV through a wall.  I have little patience for people going on and on about how bad their life is when they are wealthy, healthy, and have friends.  That seemed to be pretty much the entire premise.

See, you just described how I feel about most anything on MTV.  My niece watches Super Sweet 16 and even though I know these girls are "coached" by producers (like any reality show), it's just the most annoying thing to witness.  Great values it teaches too: whine enough and you'll get more than you'll ever deserve in life.

And just for the record, there are literally thousands of shows I'd watch before Sex and the City (including Full House).  But after a while, I was kinda curious to see where some of the characters were going.  If it's worth anything, I was deeply ashamed of myself afterwards.

Of course, because you're a man, and a man should be.  I am ashamed that I have sat down and watched a few episodes.  I did it mostly to give the wife some equal time since she'll sit and watch Raw at times with me, but still, I did it.

When it comes to kung fu guilty pleasures, it doesn't get better than
Master of the Flying Guillotine
I frikkin loved that movie!

Oh, and one of my biggest guilty pleasures: The Toxic Avenger
I have seen that movie quite a few times, mostly from ages 10-16. I think it might have corrupted me a little  ;) ;D >:D >:D. I finally got the wife to watch it a few months ago, she got a guilty kick out of it, though I felt ripped off because the dvd skipped right at the point when they run over the kids head. How could she fully appreciate the movie without that pivotal image? ;D

Here are my last collection of guilty pleasures:

Better off dead: It is only my favorite movie of all time without the slightest doubt. Noone else understands my obsessive fascination with it. I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!!! ;D

The Best of Times: My wife HATED this movie. I have seen it over 100 times easy. It was always in my rainy day movie rotation as a kid...right behind Better Off Dead.

Camp Cucamonga: The only people here who will know this one is the 25-30 crowd (if you aren't in this age group and do know it, then you have some issues :laugh2:). I had this taped and watched it ALOT back in the day. I could totally watch it again and enjoy it. :dizzy:

And finally, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My wife kept telling me how good the show was. I kept telling her how gay the show sounded. Needless to say, I own the entire series on dvd...though I am careful who I let know that little tidbit. I must say though, that the last season sucked balls, and I ended up liking the Angel series much better in the end.

Hmm. Many of you are listing good, great or cult classics. Very strange you should feel embarassed about those (which is the premise of "guilty pleasure").
NO MORE!!

Big Trouble in Little China (Have the collectors edition DVD)

Raw Deal - "You should not drink and bake." Best Arnie one liner ever.

Last Action Hero - Weird thing about this one, If I come across it when flipping channels, I HAVE to stop and watch it, no matter how far into the story it is at the time. I've seen it so many times, someone finally got me a copy on DVD as a gag. The DVD is still shrink wrapped, but my Pavlovian response to it on TV can't be shaken. :dunno
"Paradise, is exactly like where you are right now - only much, MUCH better." -Laurie Anderson

Most people really hate this movie, but I also like it and have seen it a bunch of times.   "Want to be a farmer?  Heres a few acres. (kicks guy in crotch)"
