Cabinet conversion
« on: July 31, 2007, 01:20:14 am »
Just started this project a few days ago, here are some pics from before I picked it up:

It was VERY dirty.  It still is, but different degree ;)

After I picked it up (yesterday), I gutted it:

I also filled in the bolt holes from the coin door with wood putty.

Today, I removed the side art, and I'll upload a pic sometime tommorow hopefully.

I'm sure you could find one :)  I got mine for $50 with working everything, JAMMA and all.  Though, I threw the JAMMA out :)

Though, I threw the JAMMA out :)

Why?  Wiring 90% done for you and you tossed it?

Well, it's being restored into MAME.  I kept the JAMMA plugs for my monitor, and that's about the only part of the cabinet that I plan on keeping.

Are you reusing the cut corner metal CP?

Metal?  It's plastic, actually, it was placed over the original Prisoners of War CP.  And no, I was considering it, but it broke when I was trying to remove it, so that's a definite no.
