ArcadeVGA problem... PC won't boot up into windows
« on: March 22, 2007, 04:38:38 pm »
After re-installing XP from scratch, i've got it working ok so it's all good!  :)

I just tried to install an arcadeVGA card. I foolishly didn't read the instructions correctly before I started, and have run into trouble. I physically installed then re-boot the computer. This is what Ultimarc say you should do next:

The card must be installed to install the drivers.
If Windows displays a message "New Hardware Found" you MUST quit this and not let the standard Windows drivers install.

Well, instead of quitting this option for some reason I clicked on 'ok'. Then rebooted the machine. Now it gets as far as the windows loading screen and just freezes. It won't even load up in safemode. I've tried  putting back in the previous video card, but it just says 'out of range' on my monitor. Help! :(
