Don't blame them...... it's a
very common mis-understanding of what the inverter board is actually for.
You'll even find Sanyo 20EZ's in Nintendo cabinets that don't have an inverter board
at all in them.
The Sanyo's and the Sharp 's were actually modified on the chassis to accept the Nintendo game signal directly. Which is why the inverter board is used for NON-Nintendo games. You can even put those components back in place and
then use those monitors for other games without the need for the inverter board. But they will no longer work with the Nintendo games if you do that.
