X-men 6player marquee
« on: January 03, 2007, 11:23:55 am »
My X-men was caught in a flood of water coming through the duct work in my basement. The game is fine, but the marquee glass fell and shattered, damaging the marquee in the process. It is not totally destroyed, but the insurance adjustor, said they would replace it if I can find another.

I have tried Arcade Overlays, but they said they would not do it, and did not give a quote of how much they would charge, if they were interested.

My marquee is complete, just cracked in several places, so I could send it out to be scaned/copied or whatever. I was hoping that someone either knew a place that could do this, or could do it themselves.

Anyone here interested in doing this?? The insurance co will pay, I just need to get a quote to them, and tell them how much to get a new one, and then negotiate it out with them.

Thanks, Patrick

What is the marquee made out of? Also, how long is it? If I had the graphic itself (in it's entirety), I could print it on some heavy stock. I can't remember the lbs. of the paper, but I've printed out my marquee and sideart for my cabinet on it.

I can print it and ship it to you personally. If there's vector art of it somewhere, I'd make it like 600 dpi and that'd print pretty well.

The marquee is made out of a thin plastic, it is about 8 1/2" by 48" long. I have the original marquee, but I have not found a vector anywhere, but I would be willing to send the original for someone to make a vector image.

I guess what is more important now is to find out how much it would cost to get the whole thing done, so I can give a number to the insurance company and start the negotiations to how much they will give me.

Thanks, Patrick
