my rom names have spaces, exclamations, and are long can i fix?

Hi i have my roms and they are all named for example....

game name.rom
game name(u)[!].rom

they are long have lots of spaces and many exclamations. My problem is i'm trying to run my emulators via command line and these names are becominjg very difficult. Has anyone had any problems trying to work with roms like this? I dont want to rename everything?

i'm very new to this scene and would love any tips i can get

tweed this is really p*ssing me off... I'll say it nicely once but don't expect it again.  Please quit double posting.  You often post the same question 2 or 3 times in different places.  That clutters the board man.
