Here it is

It took some tries to get it working.
1) Directly hook up the monitor to the RGB scart cable using the composite video as C-sync signa. This did produce an image but was way too dark.
2) Used the video amplifier from
www.ultimarc.com. This did not work until i removed the capacitors of the scart cable. It then produced a fine image but with moving images the monitor would lose sync. I had expected this a little since the monitor requires a sync signal of 1.5V and the xbox does not produce this.

3) Using a LM1881 circuit i stripped and amplified the sync signal and fed this directly to the monitor, bypassing the video amplifier. Somehow the amplifier did not pass the sync through properly and this would result in the monitor losing sync every 3 seconds or so.

This worked great and although i still need to fiddle around with all the control to get the best image quality. I am very happy with the result.
I mounted the two boards 'ghetto' style on a piece of wood and this is screwed on the inside of the cabinet.

I wouldn't have been able to do this without this without your help. Thank you all
