How hard would it be to vectorize this logo?
« on: December 11, 2006, 04:36:08 pm »
This isn't arcade related, it's actually a label for my homebrew.

I haven't used Illustrator before, so I'd like input on if I should attempt this myself, or get someone else to do it.

thanks,

-S

Having not used Illustrator before might make it worse then it should be, but that image could be vectorized fairly easily. The monkey looks as if it was vector at one point.

This should be really easy with Adobe illustrator CS2 and if you have a decent resolution on that logo...

AI-CS2 has a function called 'Live Trace' which really does all the work for you...
Offcourse, if you need absolutely perfect vectors (for a less illustrative logo or a line of type) you're always better of doing it yourself...

please DON'T USE automatic tracing tools.

Yeah, they usually have hideous results.  That being said, that should not be hard to do by hand at all.
