Wii owners post your Wii's code...
« on: November 22, 2006, 05:32:10 pm »
Anybody made some Miis on their consoles yet?  Mine are all set to mingle, I just don't have any Wii friends yet.  Post your code here.

*See RTS's first post directly below for listing of BYOAC member codes*  (Thanks RTS!)

EDIT 6/23/08: I was contacted this weekend about taking over management of the Wii Unit code list, and have accepted the job for the time being.  I decided to copy Munny's current list here and any additions will be found below as well.

All codes are correct as far as I know; I double checked the thread just now to make sure I wasn't missing anyone's.  If there is an error, or you do not see your code listed, post or  contact me via email here, and I'll get it changed ASAP.

Munny:

We received the Mii you sent, but ironically it looked exactly like the Mii I created for myself (to represent me) and so the sent me was deleted!  Please try again - we'll try and send one your way as well.

Well, I sent it back as I wasn't sure if the Mii could return to you once I put it in my plaza (still trying to figure things out).  I do have a couple from Mustard roaming around and, of course, I did get the Professor.

Did either of you guys see Miis from me?  My Mii is Coop and there's a couple of kids and my wife (Tiff) also.  I made some others up for Howard Stern, Picard and Jimi Hendrix but I don't have them set to "travel" yet.

I see Amanda as well.  Added her to my plaza.

Don't see anything from RTSDaddy2 just yet.

To move a Mii to the plaza, drag and drop it to the "Add to Plaza" icon.

Mustard:

Sorry about that - I got so intrigued with the interaction of somunny's Miis with ours  that I forgot to add your Wii code to my system.  I think that's why you're not seeing any of ours yet...the only way I could see munny's was when they put them in the Mii parade area...then I could send them to the Plaza where our Miis gather and work with them then.

You should - according to what I understand of it (haven't read that section yet) - be seeing visiting Miis any time...if not, let me know!

I'll post mine as soon as I get it back from my friend  :hissy:.

When we were standing in line, he got the last one, but let me have it . He cut me anyway  ;). So I let him borrow it.

But yah, back on topic, I should be getting it back tomorrow, so I'll post it then.

That's the code....

By the way, have any of you experienced freezing problems in Wii Sports? My copy was working before, but now whenever I try to do anything multiplayer, it freezes. Single player works fine.

What do you think it is? What do you think I should do? It's not like I can buy another copy of Wii Sports, they don't sell it.

Thanks.

By the way, you may get a whole bunch of random Asian people...that's because my friend created his whole family... :dizzy:

I'm Pieter.

Disregard my dilemma...called ninty support, they're sending me a new disc soon, free of charge. Nintendo's customer service is t3h ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.

The disc was scratched, which is why it wasn't working. I think it's becauase of the crappy case that Wii Sports comes in.  I think I'm going to do that "Make aWii Sports DVD case" tutorial that was on joystiq to prevent any other scratching.

I'll add you fellas later tonight.

Speaking of which, I owe PointdaBlame money.   :laugh2:

I sent a PM for Paypal info a few weeks or so ago, since the name obviously wasn't going to change at that point, and got nothing.  Cough it up, man.  I gotta pay you.   :police:

Hmm..., I wonder what would happen if you entered a random code.

Are there enough Wiis for it to be a valid code?

Also, are any of you guys members of Wii code sharing sites? If so, can you recommend any to me?

Thanks

OK, I added you guys, but your names are grayed out in my address book, and I cannot send a message to you.

Also, when I go to the Mii channel, and click on Wii friends, it says I have no Wii friends.

Any idea what's going on?

EDIT: Never mind, RTS Daddy shows up. I sent you a message testing it.

So I guess we need to register each other's Wiis (i.e. both directions) for the other to be a Wii friend.

I don't know where they are - they're set to mingle!  Least I think so, I'll double check tonight.  I've got Pieter and Mustard added in.

You should be seeing: The professor, Ducky, Christine, Tall Ruby, Dora, MakePeace...I think that's all of our original Miis.  If not, perhaps we can figure it out - our travel feature is on and they are set to mingle.

BTW, did any of  you send me the Tricky Dick Mii??  If so, bravo - great likeness!

Ok, I've got someone else now...can't really remember her name, something like ___(blank)mrs (can't remember first part of name, but second part was mrs). She was wearing purple and glasses I think. To whom does she belong?

I guess it's kinda a random thing. I did some searches on the internets and most people are saying that Miis wont' show up right away in Mii parade.

Pilot, Bleemus...  I'll add you guys tonight.

Versapak - I added you but it doesn't look like you've added me yet.

My console is currently infested with Miis!  :)

Versa, Pilot, Bleemus...just added you to my Wii tonight.  Hopefully the Professor, Ducky, et. al, will be around soon.

FYI - my 4 year old is obsessed with Mii making - don't be surprised if a flood of Miis show up - looking nearly the same (feel free to delete)!  ;D

Been a while since I've been contributing around here much, but here's my code....

Nintendo Wii Number: 1119 2281 2489 2023

Add me suckas!!! Sure would be nice if nintendo made it, you know, EASY to add friends instead of this manual stuff. It should just be a "click" to add with the built in web browser...

Something like this BSml Nintendo-friend-protocol link;

<a href="nfp://1119.2281.2489.2023">add Mahuti!!!</a>

Daniel. Atom, Samstag, and Mahuti...I finally got my Wii list updated (my 4 year old is asleep - I get to play - FINALLY!) tonight.    Just added you guys, my code is in the list at the beginning if you wish to add us.

Somunny, thanks for keeping this current!  It's interesting to see what Miis come a calling!

I've been working on some Peanuts Miis of my own, but they're not set to travel yet.  And if you've been rejected by my machine recently (last week to week and a half) I apologize...my daughter managed to set our travel feature to "OFF."

I made a Charlie Brown and a Lucy which I think look pretty decent.  I attempted a few other characters, but I couldn't find hair styles close enough.  I also made a Walter from the Big Lebowski which was somewhat modelled after a Mii I came across online.

I'm curious how you did Marcie.  I tried to make her, but since she has no eyes (only glasses) I couldn't get her to look right.  Also, your Peppermint Patty looks good.

LOL well it's an easy explanation. My brother doesn't like the Wii so he doesn't play it. His girlfriend likes the Wii sports but I don't want her using my Mii and screwing up my stats (she's not that good). So I gave her one for herself.

She's always over here, anyways. I'm roommates with my brother.

Alan, Santoro, drmlvr:  your codes have been added; mine is in the list Somunny's put together if you wish to add it to yours.

Also, I have set my Peanuts Miis to mingle. If you can get Violet to turn around for you, I think the ponytail looks nice.  Charlie Brown I'm not so happy with, but could not figure a way (thought some have) to do the little hair curls up top.   I'm not an artist, by any stretch, but especially in baseball I think Peppermint Patty looks good in her green at the plate. :)

Just thought I'd add a few more of ours in - we've received approximately 55 Miis from different people since November!  We're not complaining, just thought we ought to throw a few more out there.   ;D

I have about 30 or so mii's that I made, alot of famous faces. Lemme know if anybody wants some.
Sure, send over whichever are you favorites.

Also, Heres the people who haven't added me yet, which makes me think they don't like me  :'(

Sphetr2
Versapak
Bleemus
AlanS17

Don't feel bad.  They haven't added me either.   ;)

I have added everyone listed in the first post.  I looks like the Wii address book will hold 100 unique entries so I still have plenty of room.

If you have your Mii's set to "travel" they'll just go out on their own without you having to directly send them somewhere.  May take longer but they'll mingle.

Although I guess I'd better send a couple out to appease the Mii Nazis.  :police:

I added everyones codes but half of them are still "light-black".   Do they remain that color until you actually send out a Mii?

I think it can also take a little while before it sees that both sides have added each other to the lists.

I've posted this in part in another thread...

With the Wii being able to use pictures and camera cards you would think they would have included real pictures to be used with our Mii's somehow. Either that or come up with some sort of a more realistic looking tool menu for making faces.

Also, all Wii games should be able to track your stats and gameplay just the same as Wii sports.

I assume that you have added everyones Wii code from the first page.  It may be that you just posted your code a day or two ago so not many people have had a chance to add you to thier address book yet.  I have you added to mine.  Check your addy book and see if my name is dark (whatever name you chose for me).

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I sent messages to 4 or 5 people to add me, but nobody has. That was well over a week ago. Needless to say, I don't have any other Miis popping up, either.

Yeah it's correct. And as of just now, I can see somunny and mahuti active in my address book. Still no Miis, though. Do I need to somehow be set up to accept them? I've been going down the list adding people, so anybody is free to go ahead and add me now.

you just go to wii's message area, and click on the address book and hit the "register" button, add the wii code, and an arbitrary name (and add a mii image for your reference... if you have  one for that person)

Also, all Wii games should be able to track your stats and gameplay just the same as Wii sports.

Is there any place to go to view a comprehensive list of records and stats for your Mii?  I can't find it anywhere in Wii Sports or the Mii Channel, but the records get posted in the message board and Wii Sports obviously tracks them.  Am I missing something?

Yeah, when you finish a game, a progress graph appears on the screen which represents if you have been doing better, the same or worse since the first time you tried the game.  If you get a score better than your current average score, you get points added and you are one step closer to "going pro" if you do worse points are taken away.

I think an online leaderboard is only a matter of time though.  It could be easily done with a system update.

Slightly off-topic, but do any of you know of a app that lets you take pics of your mii (once its transerred to the pc of course)?  I thought I'd just re-create my mii avatar via that java app floating around, but it kinda sucks visually.

p.s.  I'll add my friend code a little later, I'm not really into trading miis but I look forward to playing you all online once the functionality arrives.

Btw it might be good to setup a very simple wii-friendly website with links on all the friend codes.  Click on the link and it sends them an email with a generic "this is wii# blah blah from byoac wanting to be added to your friends list" via javascript.  It'd only prompt for a byoac username.  Since it isn't fun to type on the wii this would make adding everyone a LOT easier.

Only other people's Miis will show up, if set to mingle, and they weren't sent directly.  And if you do get any there and you move them to the Mii plaza, they won't show up in the parade anymore.  There's no way to move Miis from the plaza to the parade.  It's a little silly and confusing.

I see them show up around the same time that someone new goes active on my list.

Another question what is the Mii parade, whenever I go it says no one is around.

I'd like to reiterate this question.  I assume that any Miis set to mingle will automatically show up here, but how long does it take?  Weeks?
I think I have almost 60 in my Mii parade now.  If your is still empty, then make sure the settings on your Wii are correct.

Wii Connect24 is on.  Travel settings are set to travel.  Wiis are set to mingle on both machines.  They've been set up this way for almost a week now.  Are there any other relevant settings I'm missing?  Mii's that are sent individually from one Wii to another transfer in just a couple of minutes.

Just FYI for those still sending Miis our way - If you get any sort of error message, just know that our Mii Plaza is full, with 100 little Miis running all over the place.  Wife and I need to sit down this weekend and "delete" a few clones made by our daughter, et. al...

Out of curiosity, as your Plaza becomes full, blow the whistle and watch them closely....there is always one or two little Miis who get tripped up trying to grab a particular spot in line!   :D

The new wii mall application is probably the best bet for trading wii's at this point.  Get yourself a 5 dollar bluetooth adaptor and the rest is pretty much "automagic."  I don't know much about it though as I'm STILL waiting for my bluetooth adaptor to arrive.

It appears that you'll have to change my Wii code later in the week...just checked the Nintendo site and they apparently are sending a replacement Wii to me free of charge (see "My Wii is dead" post).   However, the one they're sending holds a different serial number to my original.

If the code changes I will let you know once we get it back -  looking forward to "repopulating" our Mii Plaza in either case!

Hey all,

Our new Wii finally arrived about 7 PM last night, after sitting home all day waiting for it to arrive (didn't matter, rained ALL DAY in GA).

Our new Wii code is: 1601 4533 2917 3288

We lost all our Wii save data, and the only thing that kills me out of that is that I lost 30 hours of play time on Twilight Princess and our  Miis.  However, my Wii points (all 1400) were still there and it's been NO trouble restoring the games we'd downloaded via VC.

I have Munny's, Tent's, Spheter's and Versa's numbers in the new Wii as of right now.  It will probably be late tonight before I have ALL the numbers reentered (yes, I have to do that too...oh well).

Right now, I'm just glad to be back in the game - that was a LONG 3 weeks!   This is the only console I've ever played out (if that was what did it) and sent off to be repaired....I hope that's the last time too!

That seems like terrible customer service.  Your saved data should have been transferred.  It's just sitting on some built-in flash media.  It could easily have been transferred to the new one and practically no cost, but even at a cost it should have been done.  That's 30 hours of your life they just stole (or maybe 15 since doing it over again won't take as long, but it won't be as much fun either).  Please write a letter to the company explaining your disappointment.  Company's only do this kind of thing because they believe that they can get away with it.  You should be really angry that they did not save your data, and they should know about it.  It was their faulty product that forced you to have to send your Wii in, and they should make every effort to minimize the problem it is for you.  It would have taken them five minutes to get that data off for you.

That just burns ---my bottom---.  I love Nintendo for their incredibly long history of innovation and mind boggling track record of brilliant games.  But they've always been arrogant sonsofbitches.  They have a history of thinking that they can get away with anything they want to because they're Nintendo.

Write.  A.  Letter.

Worst case scenario is nothing comes of it.  There's a decent chance, though, that they'll send you a gift certificate to the Nintendo store or give you some free Wii points.

Well now that I have my Wii from repairs, all of my save data has been erased and my Wii's code has been changed.   :banghead:

My new code is: 6313 3097 8024 8430

I've added everyone whos given their code here, and if anyone happens to have any of the Mii's I created (either in your parade, or one that I sent you) I would really appreciate if you could send it back to me  ;D  Some of the Mii's I created are a charlie brown, Lucy, Adam (me), and Walter (from Big Lebowski).  I know I created a few others, but these are all that come to mind at the moment.  Anyways, if you happen to see any with a creators name of AtomSmash, could you please send them my way.  Thank you.

Is there any purpose to exchanging Wii codes aside from the Mii parade and sending messages?  I'm under the impression that every game has its own, separate friend code system.  Is this correct?

By the games I've seen that are Wifi, yes, that's true.  It is irritating, I'll grant you that.  Why in the world couldn't my Super Strikers or PBR code be the same as the Wii code Nintendo?  Or at least add an option to obtain friend codes after a battle instead of just battle cards?

That's what I thought.  I just can't be bothered to be exchanging, and entering in without a keyboard, a bunch of numbers just so my Wii Parade, a feature that is absolutely meaningless to me, will have a bunch more random characters in it.  Those codes are a pain to put in.  If they aren't going to provide me with any benefit, I'm not going to put them in.  Someone wondered earlier in this thread why I hadn't bothered to share my code, and that's why.  It's because I have no plans to reciprocate by entering any of your codes, so what's the use in giving my code out and subjecting any of you to the inconvenience of entering in my code?

I have 7 friend tokens so far and I'm willing to trade on a 1 to 1 basis.  Please though, just mp3, I have no desire to use mii parades and what-not.  I dunno who has the game here yet, so just add me and send me an email (to the wii) or pm me here when you want to trade.

if you do not want others mii's in your parade you have to make sure travel settings are turned off on your console.

people can't pick who their mii's travel to once both parties have each other registered, and travel settings are on...

Is there any point to WiiConnect24 other than this Mii parade stuff?  If there is, I haven't found it yet - I turned it off to reduce wear on the console.

Keeps the news and weather updated.  Ensures you receive messages from friends and Nintendo.  If you have a fast wireless connection going, it may not be worth it.

I have a wired connection so speed is definitely not an issue.  It did tell me the News Channel doesn't work at all unless you have WiiConnect24 on.  It doesn't even try.

I think I'm going to leave it off.  If there isn't any gaming reason to have it on, no point for me, much like shmokes.

I leave mine off as well.  Everything you absolutely require to play doesn't need it on.  I thought weather needed it on as well.  It's just a waste of electricity, I think.  System updates can be done manually when any channel says it's needed.

It does... which doesn't make sense.  It should be able to just pull on demand.  I have to say I'm really disappointed with the Wii's online capabilities.

First bump in over 2 months, but I figured it was time we got an update as to who had the codes.  I've noticed in various threads that some have long since removed their Wii from active use by selling it or letting it collect dust. ;D

Mine's still active, thanks mostly to We Ski, MarioKart and the still popular Wii Sports.

Anyone else?

*EDIT* --  Once the list is reconfirmed, I'll start re-adding everyone's codes back.  My Mii's are getting lonely...

Still active here - was busy for 4 hours (yes, somewhat embarrased that I have that kind of time right now) yesterday.

My right thumb's numb from excessive Mario Kart. I love Smash Bros., but the wheel for Kart I actually dig and can't seem to get enough of.

BTW, I'll post this here just to avoid starting a new thread - new upgrade allows one to move Miis back and forth from parade to plaza (although they do lose their birthdays, etc).  What it means is that for those of us who love the little creations now have a space to store an additional 100 (I think) besides just the Mii Plaza.

Hey, RTS...

Would you mind taking this over?  I don't even have a Wii anymore and you are the resident fanatic  ;).  If you can, just copy the names and numbers to your first post and I'll edit mine to direct folks there.

Thanks man.
