Sanyo 14" image problem
« on: November 05, 2006, 08:41:31 pm »
Im currently having an issue with my 14" Sanyo monitor.  I plugged it in for the first time and the pictures isn't quite right.  The R, G and B all adjust.  I can adjust the voltage to the picture, to the point that it can go black or show the vertical retrace lines.  It shows blacks and whites, but is missing all the mid-tones.  I am leaning towards a faulty brightness section but figured I would check for other opinions, that might help pinpoint the problem.

looks like either a resolution setup on your graphics card or you contrast/colours are too high

This is from a Jamma PCB.  I have tried others with the same results.

I just found the test patterns on the MK diagnostics so I am going give that a shot, calibrating the color with that first.

From the small pictures, I really can't see anything wrong. However, if this monitor has not had a capkit installed then I would suggest doing so since it does affect brightness/contrast issues.
