Alien Syndrome Bezel
« on: October 15, 2006, 01:05:39 pm »
I saw this eBay auction today:

eBay Link

And it has a very colorful bezel..  Mine's "also" (if this one really is) a dedicated cabinet, but has no bezel..

My Cabinet

Neither does the one on KLOV...

KLOV Link

Does anyone know if that bezel really IS an Alien Syndrome bezel?   If not, what game is it from?  :)

Just really curious, because I've always considered my AS "complete"...

Thanx!

P.S.  Obviously not my auction, but somebody should make an offer on that cab.  It looks GREAT n a gameroom and gets a lot of attention.  Love the purple head!!

ALL of those various photos are "conversions". So that explains the black bezels. As for whether or not the color bezel in the Ebay listing is for Alien Syndrome or not... Dunno!

I'm pretty sure mine's not a conversion..  It's got a number and everything...

Of course, I could be wrong  :)  Happens more than I'd like!  :D

Here's the flyer: http://www.arcadeflyers.com/?page=flyer&id=2206&image=1

AWESOME!  I always forget to check out hte flyers..

Mine looks EXACTLY like that, except for the screen area.  HOWEVER, looking at that screen area, it appears as if the whole thing is gameplay.  I think that's the '87 equivalent of a photoshop job?  :)  I don't see any trace of 'bezel vs screen'..  It appears to be all screen  :)

Thanx, though!

Ah!!  Thanx!

That means that's the bezel from the conversion kit..  From KLOV:

"Alien Syndrome was sold in a dedicated cabinet by Sega, but was also sold as a conversion kit by Sun Corporation of America (licensed by Sega)."

"The bezel is paper and says "Sun Corporation of America" across the top"

Makes me feel better, anyways.  Thanx for the link!!
