Exit games in Xbox MAME

I've tried everything I can think of.  Can someone tell me how to exit to the games menu in MAME?  All I can do is reset all the way out to the dashboard, which then requires that I load MAME back up before I can switch to another game.

By the way, sure ain't no select button on an Xbox conroller . . .   ;)
